A terminally ill man and his bride received a hard-to-top wedding present last week: a recorded video message from their musical idol, Ed Sheeran. The singer advised the couple to drink, dance and “have a lot of sex” on their big day.
According to the Daily Mail, leukemia patient Jack Jordan, 23, and his fiancée Laura Cant, 24, were married at Torbay Hospital Chapel in Devon, England Thursday, just a few days after Jack was told he had less than three weeks to live.
Ed got wind of the nuptials and while he couldn’t be there in person, he taped a special congratulatory video just for them. “Hope you have an amazing wedding and drink a lot, dance a lot, have a lot of sex, ‘cause you should be doing that,” he said. “Have a wonderful time.”
Jack was initially supposed to undergo a bone marrow transplant and had planned to marry Laura after the surgery. But when he became too sick to have the operation, the couple was forced to put a rush on the ceremony and hold it at the hospital.
This isn’t the first time Ed has helped make a couple’s wedding dreams come true. Last month, he surprised an Australian couple by singing at their reception.
