The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place this Saturday in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and some of today’s biggest stars will be on hand to induct — and perform tributes to — the iconic musicians who are entering the Hall this year.
’80s rock icons Joan Jett & the Blackhearts will be ushered into the Hall by another female star who doesn’t “give a damn about her bad reputation”: Miley Cyrus. Meanwhile, fun.‘s Nate Ruess will perform in honor of another of this year’s inductees, the late Lou Reed.
In addition, John Legend will perform in honor of inductee Bill Withers, the soul singer best known for his hits “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Lean on Me.”
Meanwhile, John Mayer will induct one of his heroes, the late guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, and his band Double Trouble, and take part in a tribute performance.
Stevie Wonder will induct Bill Withers, while Paul McCartney will induct his Beatles band mate Ringo Starr. Green Day, this year’s youngest honorees, will be ushered into the Hall by pop-rock band Fall Out Boy.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be taped on Saturday, and will air on HBO May 30.
